About the position

The Security Architect is a hands-on team player responsible for providing technical security guidance and leadership in the design, installation, operation, service, and maintenance of various information systems. This role involves collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to ensure security standards are integrated into enterprise architecture frameworks and project lifecycles, identifying security gaps, developing controls, and designing solutions that align with business objectives and security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a strategic security architecture vision aligned with business strategy.
  • Create security strategies to enhance controls and architecture for critical security infrastructure.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on infrastructure, application, and database security.
  • Determine security requirements and infosec strategy by evaluating business strategies and conducting risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (S-SDLC).
  • Facilitate Proof of Concepts for security solutions.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of Microsoft data center technologies.
  • Respond to incidents and manage cloud environments for optimal security and performance.
  • Review existing architecture, identify design gaps, and recommend security enhancements.
  • Write formal security assessments and develop security metrics to demonstrate operational security posture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with container-based orchestration (Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Working knowledge of Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA).
  • Practical knowledge of PCI, GDPR, NIST standards, or ISO27000 series.
  • At least one industry standard certification such as GSEC, CISSP, CISA, or CISM.

Nice-to-haves

  • Multiple language abilities preferred; fluency in English required.
  • Experience managing projects through the full system development lifecycle.
