About the position

The IT Security Manager is responsible for overseeing enterprise cybersecurity programs and activities, ensuring the protection of data and the organization from various cyber threats. This role encompasses incident response, threat management, vulnerability management, and the development of security architecture and risk management strategies. The IT Security Manager also plays a crucial role in awareness training and the establishment of security policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee enterprise cybersecurity programs and activities.
  • Manage data protection initiatives.
  • Lead incident response efforts.
  • Implement threat management strategies.
  • Conduct vulnerability management activities.
  • Develop and maintain security architecture.
  • Manage security risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct cybersecurity awareness training for employees.
  • Establish and enforce security policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of applicable work experience in IT security.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP are preferred.
  • Experience with secure network architectures.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices.
  • Understanding of risk management frameworks.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Proficiency in incident response methodology and management.
  • Knowledge of penetration and vulnerability management systems.
  • Experience in cybersecurity training programs, including phishing and social engineering.
  • Ability to implement security standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27000 series, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and CIS Critical Security Controls.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-energy environment.
  • Ability to document policies, standards, requirements, and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain solid working relationships.
