About the position
The IT Security Project Manager will oversee multiple high-visibility IT Security projects within a media services organization. This role involves planning, leading, and organizing teams to ensure high performance and quality in project delivery, utilizing agile methodologies in a fast-paced environment. The Project Manager will blend traditional project management principles with agile practices to achieve project goals and timelines, while also managing stakeholder communications and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.
- Organize and lead stand-ups.
- Prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks, dependencies, and issues.
- Correct and/or report deviations from plans and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
- Manage customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.
- Provide regular status updates to Sr. Leadership Team.
- Hold teams accountable for their commitments.
- Remove roadblocks to their work.
- Leverage organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.
Requirements
- BA or BS or equivalent experience is required; MA or MS is a plus.
- At least 3-5 years experience with at least 1-2 years spent managing IT Security projects.
- Solid understanding of common security concepts (IDS, Authentication, Defense in Depth, PCI, ISO 27001).
- Expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management practices with the ability to blend them together.
- A proven track record of successfully implementing security projects using Agile methodologies in a high-tech development environment with multi-functional teams.
- Balanced business/technical background to provide credible leadership to compliance, network, and engineering teams.

- Experience using Jira (desired, not required).
- Experience using SmartSheet (desired, not required).
