About the position

The Senior Data Governance role within the Digital Technology Services (DTS) at Hackensack Meridian Health focuses on developing and implementing enterprise Data Governance solutions across the organization. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure data quality, security, and compliance, ultimately enabling clients to leverage data for improved business management and decision-making. The role is hybrid, requiring 25% onsite work in Edison, NJ, and 75% remote work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and complete end-to-end Data Governance solutions.
• Evangelize the Data Governance practice with stakeholders and partners.
• Organize, clean, and structure client data to add value.
• Create custom Data Quality Rules, Matching Strategies, and Workflows using best practices.
• Support the implementation and operations of data catalogs, custom data lineage, and data glossary.
• Gather requirements and build out Data Governance solutions.
• Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3-5 years of experience in a data governance role.
• Experience with SQL, including writing complex queries.
• Knowledge of Data Governance practices including Data Catalog, Data Glossary, Data Lineage, and Security.
• Ability to merge and transform datasets.
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with requirements translation and Agile work processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's or PhD degree.
• 6+ years of experience in Data Governance or Data Analysis.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
