About the position

The IT Senior Engineer position at Enable Resource Group involves supporting multiple clients by managing and administering their IT infrastructures. This role is designed for a professional who is eager to advance their career while making a positive impact in the lives of clients, particularly in the nonprofit sector. The engineer will be responsible for system deployment, software/hardware upgrades, troubleshooting, and mentoring team members, all while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer client infrastructures and perform necessary upgrades.
  • Conceive and implement new system deployments.
  • Plan and implement major software and hardware upgrades.
  • Perform investigative analysis and triage for technical issues.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance.
  • Interact with end users to provide technical support and gather feedback.
  • Design and implement client network environments.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and utilize debugging utilities.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare vSphere or Hyper-V).
  • Proficient in Microsoft server and workstation operating systems, including registry settings, DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP networking, and firewalls.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Directory.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis.
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong verbal communication.
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver services using various technologies to multiple clients.
  • Experience working with firms of varying sizes, from small companies to large organizations.

  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, batch files, etc.)
