About the position

The IT Senior Product Manager I for Security Applications at Kirkland & Ellis is responsible for driving the product strategy and managing the IT Security Governance Portfolio. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver initiatives that enhance the Firm's overall Security Program. The individual will work closely with mid-senior level management, business users, and legal staff to document and translate application specifications, ensuring project timelines are met and best practices are followed across all products.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Associate Director, Risk and Security Applications, and other stakeholders to drive product strategy for the Security Program.
  • Manage the IT Security Governance Portfolio, ensuring project schedules and timelines are adhered to.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, translating concepts and status into understandable terms.
  • Track, monitor, and standardize requirements for all teams to follow.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Create use cases and wireframes to identify business needs and processes.
  • Document workflows and business processes, both current and future states.
  • Gather and confirm security requirements, entering them into JIRA and other management tools.
  • Create and execute test scripts, evaluate results, and track issues for resolution.
  • Conduct first-level testing to ensure application changes do not negatively impact functionality.
  • Document medium to large scale projects, including use cases, user stories, and workflow diagrams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business analysis, product management, and process design in the Security area.
  • Experience with workflow and project management software.
  • Ability to write and understand complex business-driven user stories.
  • Experience in managing complex products from concept to implementation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Legal knowledge and understanding is a plus.
