About the position

The Utah Geospatial Resource Center (UGRC) is seeking an experienced IT Senior Project Manager to lead innovative projects aimed at improving business processes through the integration of spatial data for various government levels in Utah. The role involves working with Lean-Agile teams and requires expertise in the Scaled Agile Framework, including roles such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, or Product Manager. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for project planning, stakeholder engagement, resource management, and ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative projects for government entities to improve business processes by integrating spatial data.
• Work with key stakeholders to develop project objectives and requirements.
• Build project plans and establish staffing and resource assignments.
• Manage overall project progress and stakeholder reporting.
• Adjust project plans according to business needs and changes.
• Establish project control procedures and monitor work progress.
• Present project plans and performance information to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in project management, particularly in IT and geospatial projects.
• Proficiency in Scaled Agile Framework and roles such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, or Product Manager.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to estimate project costs and time requirements.
• Experience in managing project scope, schedule, and budget.
