About the position

Allan Myers is seeking an IT Senior Support Technician to deliver IT support to our users in the office and in the field. As a Senior Support Technician, you will gain extensive exposure to all facets of Allan Myers' IT Department, laying a strong foundation in systems, processes, and administration. We are looking for a candidate with proficiency in information systems, data analysis, and a strength for creating strong team relationships. In this role, you will provide end user support via phone and in person, assisting users in resolution of questions and issues related to computers, mobile devices, and printers as well as core field applications including mobile applications and computer applications for Construction and Materials operations. You will effectively assess user-reported issues for urgency and business or user impact, perform basic system diagnostics and troubleshooting on computers, tablets, phones, and printers to assist users with performance or connectivity issues. Additionally, you will configure mobile devices and computers for deployment to new users and perform device swaps for existing users. You will also shadow other IT staff during site visits and interact directly with Shared Services, Construction, and Materials personnel to gain an understanding of how technology is used in those areas of the business. Furthermore, you will assist on new technology roll-out projects, data analytics projects, or large-scale device deployment projects as assigned. Requirements

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration or Civil Engineering with a technology interest, or related fields.
  • Proficiency with standard office applications such as email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency with maintaining Apple iOS and Microsoft Windows devices.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, punctual, and work well within a team.
