About the position

The IT Server Administrator at Wisemen Multimedia, LLC is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the IT infrastructure. This role combines technical skills with project management capabilities and effective communication to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IT systems. The administrator will handle various projects including network server management, VMWare support, and data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for Level 1-3 escalated issues.
• Provide daily operational support for LAN/WAN networks and WiFi, including firewalls.
• Support infrastructure deployment efforts.
• Heavy VMWare support.
• Provide Firewall support using SonicWall.
• Develop, modify, and improve client infrastructure solutions.
• Manage the Zendesk help desk system for open issues and customer communications.
• Assist in the building of new networks to design specifications.
• Possess effective written and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and bring systems-level projects to completion.
• Update project plans for IT projects including objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, and schedules.
• Assist in specialist projects as requested by Senior IT personnel.
• Participate in IT meetings, workshops, and seminars for information gathering and conveying.
• Deploy desktops, laptops, monitors, phones, and peripherals as instructed by Senior IT personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficiency in managing and supporting various IT infrastructure components such as servers, storage systems, networks, and cloud environments.
• 2+ years of experience with VMWare Virtualization.
• 2+ years of experience with PowerShell.
• 2+ years of experience with Azure Active Directory.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), virtualization technologies, and database management.
• 2+ years of experience with Sonicwall NetExtender VPN.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, systems analysis, or a related role.
• Familiar with the Zendesk Ticketing System.
• Experience in working in a VLan environment.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, MCSE Certification) are a plus.
