About the position

The IT Service Advisor - Data Analyst position is a fully remote role focused on interpreting data and developing data analytic technologies to support business management and software license management. The role involves collaboration with stakeholders, data collection, cleaning, modeling, interpretation, visualization, and reporting to drive business decisions and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs.
• Determine appropriate tools and platforms for data analysis.
• Partner with others to schedule work intake and deliverables.
• Obtain data through multiple sources and streamline processes.
• Ensure data quality by removing duplicates, errors, and outliers.
• Design database structures including data selection, categories, and relationships.
• Use statistical tools to identify patterns and trends in data.
• Create charts, graphs, and dashboards to present data findings.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
• Use data to predict future trends or behaviors through predictive modeling.
• Explore large datasets to identify patterns or relationships through data mining.
• Produce actionable results to drive business decisions using prescriptive analytics.
• Identify root causes of technical and business challenges through diagnostic analytics.
• Assess trends over specific time periods using descriptive analytics.
• Determine most likely outcomes based on patterns and tendencies through predictive analytics.
• Create and maintain a reporting playbook outlining all reports and tools developed.
• Maintain all resulting data analytic solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• At least three years of experience across analytics layers (ingest, store, analyze, predict, visualize, API, AI) and supporting technologies (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, SQL, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to focus and retain information.
• Ability to work independently and manage work effectively with minimal supervision.
