About the position

The IT Service Desk Center - Unit C Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and management oversight to unit staff within the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT). This role involves managing service requests and incidents related to IT services, including voice, video, data, and wireless services. The supervisor will also participate in contract development and vendor management, ensuring effective service delivery and support for the organization's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management oversight to unit staff.
  • Manage service requests and incidents involving MS Office Suite and enterprise standard desktop operating systems.
  • Participate in the development, review, negotiation, and approval of contracts for service and equipment.
  • Support vendor due diligence, vendor development, and performance management.
  • Track and resolve service requests and incidents effectively.

Requirements

  • Completion of four (4) years of college with courses in management information systems, data processing, telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in management information systems, data processing, telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience with technical customer support or service desk experience in an IT or telecom organization.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a technical customer support or service desk environment.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience with remote desktop management, network administrative account management, anti-virus software, and enterprise standard desktop operating systems.
