About the position

The IT Service Desk Technician at Fred Loya Insurance is responsible for providing technical support to users, managing service desk tickets, and ensuring smooth IT operations across the organization. This role involves direct interaction with users, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary installations and maintenance of IT equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and interact with the Service Desk queue and help users on phone.
  • Create, escalate and close tickets using the WebHelpdesk Ticket System.
  • Help users calling the Service Desk queue.
  • Generate tickets and escalate the tickets on a need basis.
  • Install/Remove applications when needed by Supervisor approval.
  • Report Internet Outages or Phone outages to ISP/Telco Providers.
  • Report any suspicious activity to immediate supervisor.
  • Report any companywide/emergency issue to immediate supervisor.
  • Travel to offices, if needed, to troubleshoot/replace PCs/Phones.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A+ Certified or equivalent

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred
