About the position

The IT Service Desk Technician plays a crucial role in providing frontline technical support to end users, ensuring that hardware, software, and client device issues are resolved promptly. This position operates under the guidance of the Principal Client Support Specialist and is essential for maintaining effective communication with users while addressing their technical needs.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve service desk tickets related to hardware, software, and client devices problems in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of client devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to users.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT staff while maintaining communication with end users.
  • Document technical issues and solutions in a knowledge base.

Requirements

  • Experience in providing technical support in a service desk environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Knowledge of client devices, printers, and peripherals installation and configuration.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with end users effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and knowledge bases.
