About the position

The IT Site Supervisor is responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems in both physical and virtual environments. This role involves overseeing change management processes, coordinating local IT support, and ensuring effective service delivery metrics are met. The supervisor will also manage contractor and subcontractor staff, ensuring their performance aligns with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems on physical and virtual environments.
  • Adhere to change management practices, writing Change Requests and seeking approval.
  • Assist in storage and data management, specifically file and folder permissions.
  • Support operational transition of enterprise solutions into production.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for local server, network, and telecom repair.
  • Coordinate local response to IAVA vulnerability remediation.
  • Provide Level 3 support to District technical personnel.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for after-hours and VIP support requests.
  • Establish and document work schedules for contractor and subcontractor employees.
  • Review workloads and ticket distribution, reassigning priorities as necessary.
  • Collaborate with local ITC and Ops Officer to address user needs.
  • Monitor technical performance of contractor and subcontractor staff, reporting performance to the Division Manager.
  • Coordinate recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, and disciplinary actions for subordinate employees.
  • Monitor service delivery effectiveness and report discrepancies to the Division Manager.

Requirements

  • Experience managing Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Strong understanding of change management processes.

  • Experience in coordinating IT support and services.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
