The CAES Advanced Program Development (APD) line of business is seeking an experienced IT Site Support Specialist based on site in Colorado Springs. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service as you are the focal point for all information technology and security duties at our Colorado Springs site. Your primary responsibilities will include managing user administration for MS Exchange, handling Active Directory tasks such as adding new systems to the network and unlocking or resetting user account passwords. You will also be tasked with hardware installations, equipment moves, BIOS patches, and troubleshooting desktop hardware issues for end-user systems. In addition to hardware support, you will monitor network availability, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and create custom-length patch cables. You will also be responsible for addressing phone connectivity issues, programming extension changes, and deploying new services. Familiarity with ZOOM Gov, Teams, and VOIP phone systems is essential, as is the ability to install and deploy licensed software on workstations while ensuring compliance with software asset management policies. Security patching is another critical aspect of your role, as you will ensure that user workstations are up to date with all necessary security patches. You will maintain printers, coordinate with vendors for repairs, and work with systems administration staff to configure new print queues and printers. Participation in daily team huddles to review aging or unallocated tickets related to problems, issues, or delays is expected to limit user escalations and improve response and resolution times. You will also partner with the Security team to sanitize workstations that may have been exposed to classified material, adhering to the CAES IR Process. Your role will involve making suggestions for improvements in IT-related processes and collaborating with Engineering and Operations to enhance cross-functional problem-solving. Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting and documenting active team projects and project planning.
