The IT AWS/Azure Python Technical Lead position is a hybrid role based in Raleigh, NC, requiring the candidate to be in the office at least once a week, with potential for up to four additional onsite days per month for specific design or architecture meetings. This position is designed for an individual who can provide leadership and guidance in the usage and support of various development platforms, technical architectures, and business applications. The candidate will be expected to have a strong understanding of application development and architecture, which will serve as a foundation for their technical expertise in specific products or programs. In this role, the Technical Lead will be responsible for a range of activities including analysis, visual design, development, data analysis, testing, implementation, and maintenance of applications. The position aligns with the Data Division's strategic plan to modernize and create enterprise solutions for state agencies. The Technical Lead will collaborate with project team members and vendor partners to design, develop, and support application programming and functionality. As a subject matter expert, the candidate will also lead innovation efforts by researching new solutions and performing proof-of-concepts using the latest technology trends. The primary focus of this role is to lead the ongoing development of enterprise-level business intelligence applications, particularly in implementing technology-driven analytic solutions for stakeholder agencies. The Technical Lead will serve as an expert in developing applications that support various GDAC portfolio teams, including Criminal Justice, Financial Fraud, Child Wellness, Longitudinal Performance, and Health. While the role does not involve day-to-day technical operations support, it requires a comprehensive understanding of the technical components of various applications and the ability to provide technical support to the project team in data analysis, queries, and reporting.
