About the position

The IT Senior Manager will lead and manage teams responsible for the availability and operational excellence of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure in data centers across the United States. This role involves overseeing the physical sites, managing diverse teams, and ensuring the successful execution of expansion projects while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong people management skills, business acumen, and technical expertise in IT service delivery at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams responsible for the availability of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure in data centers.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of all Data Center sites in a 24/7 mission-critical environment.
• Oversee the activities of data center technicians across multiple locations.
• Ensure timely delivery of services and tasks to meet project milestones.
• Collaborate with project managers to provide support and guidance.
• Uphold quality benchmarks for new sites and deployments.
• Drive improvements and provide feedback in project reviews and lessons learned activities.
• Interact with various functional areas and teams, including Engineering and Business Operations.
• Manage incidents and drive resolution with After-Action analysis.
• Oversee capacity expansions and ensure appropriate recruitment of high-quality team members.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in data center management or related field.
• Strong people management experience with a focus on team building.
• Business acumen and understanding of IT technical abilities at scale.
• Experience in managing multi-discipline individual contributors in a cloud data center environment.
• Ability to navigate local customs, laws, and employment directives.

Nice-to-haves

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in applications implementation and project management.
