About the position

The IT Software QA Analyst II at ARUP Laboratories is responsible for testing both ARUP-developed and commercial off-the-shelf software. This role involves analyzing software to ensure it meets design specifications and quality standards, creating and executing functional and non-functional test cases, and developing test plans for system integration testing. The analyst will also create defect reports and maintain records of testing progress and results, while communicating with product teams and management regarding testing efforts and support needs.

Responsibilities

• Test ARUP developed and commercial off-the-shelf software.
• Perform analysis to ensure software products meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Create and execute customized functional and non-functional test cases.
• Develop, implement, and maintain test plans and procedures for system integration testing.
• Create defect reports and maintain records of test progress and results.
• Communicate with product team members, management, and technical support on test efforts and support needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience as a software tester required.
• Experience with SQL, HTML, Microsoft Windows, Client Server architecture, Web testing, and Automation testing preferred.
• Experience with software development lifecycle techniques.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
