About the position

The IT Solutions Architect for Data Management & Analytics at Welch's will lead innovative analytics initiatives aimed at transforming digital manufacturing. This role focuses on integrating advanced data analytics, IoT, machine learning, and cloud technologies to enhance operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making. The architect will design and implement end-to-end analytics solutions, modernize legacy systems, and collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize production and improve quality in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for integrating data management and analytics within the manufacturing domain.
  • Ensure alignment with overall business objectives and technology strategy.
  • Participate in data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Implement processes for continuous data cleansing and standardization.
  • Leverage analytics tools to extract actionable insights from manufacturing data.
  • Support decision-making processes with real-time analytics and predictive modeling.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and IT teams to identify data and analytics needs.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive value and efficiency.
  • Lead data management and analytics projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Facilitate training sessions for users on data management and analytics tools.
  • Lead change management efforts for new technologies and processes.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on data management and analytics in manufacturing.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, and data standardization practices.
  • Experience with analytics tools and technologies, including BI platforms and predictive modeling.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and data generated on the shop floor.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification preferred.
  • Insights into manufacturing operations management systems, such as ERP and MES.
