About the position

As a Solutions Delivery Manager at RLI, you will lead a team of IT professionals, including Developers, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance Engineers, to deliver high-quality, scalable technology solutions that meet business needs. This role focuses on managing the end-to-end lifecycle of projects and enhancements, ensuring alignment with enterprise and business objectives through effective communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with other managers, business stakeholders, and IT customers.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Engineers to foster skill growth and promote effective collaboration.
  • Manage all phases of the delivery lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch maintenance.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and manage expectations.
  • Communicate regularly on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure adherence to company and IT enterprise standards, goals, processes, and policies.
  • Provide reports of status and work progress or project delivery.
  • Initiate action to assure delivery of various aspects of projects and process improvements.
  • Leverage data to understand obstacles to delivering business value and take action to address issues.
  • Provide design recommendations based on architecture and technology IT organizational strategy.
  • Ensure User Acceptance Testing and user training is executed as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in an Information Technology or Business discipline or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT delivery, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing delivery teams.
  • Technical experience in software engineering or solutions architecture is preferred, with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and solution design principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, developing, and leading high-performing delivery teams.
  • Strong foundation in software development practices and the ability to provide input on solution design and technical direction.
  • Expertise in planning, overseeing, and reporting on complex solution delivery projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies is preferred.
