About the position
The IT Solutions Product Manager at CMIT Solutions is responsible for delivering IT solutions that align with customer requirements and drive product revenue. This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from market research and product strategy development to execution and performance measurement. The Product Manager will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful product rollouts and maintain product margins while working closely with the marketing department to create effective product messaging.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify SMB IT market needs and trends
- Assist with defining the product strategy and roadmap in areas such as remote monitoring management, backup and recovery, help desk, firewalls, cybersecurity, and cloud services
- Gather feedback from end-user customers and franchises
- Work with the Director of Service Delivery, Corporate Store VP, and CEO in selecting strategic partners
- Develop and execute in-depth training for product roll-outs, including qualifying questions, elevator pitches, product sales strategies, certifications, and client-facing marketing materials
- Conduct competitor analysis to assess differentiators between the company's products and competitors' products
- Work cross-functionally with teams to provide clear communication and business-based prioritization
- Cultivate and work with external third-party strategic partners
- Develop technical knowledge of managed services and cloud products to create a complete value proposition
- Create training materials for product offerings and place them in the LMS
- Measure and report on product revenue performance
- Ensure revenue targets for each product solution are met yearly
- Test potential new products to ensure they meet organizational requirements
- Run business case pilot programs with early-stage products
- Provide support on the product suite
- Assist with content for the website, marketing materials, and educational training
- Host FD and product webinars
- Achieve revenue targets for each solution yearly
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager in the Managed IT space
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience developing/launching products & technologies in Cloud, Device Management, IaaS, SaaS, UCaaS, DaaS, or complex supply chain networks
- Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions
- Experience creating strategic product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams
- AI experience implementing ChatGPT Enterprise to drive productivity efficiencies
- Ability to own and deliver against business and financial goals
- Ability to independently lead and influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills to pull insights from quantitative and qualitative data sets
- Ability to work independently, be detail-oriented, and possess outstanding time management and planning skills
