About the position

The IT Sox Compliance Lead at Lumen is responsible for supporting IT SOX controls and internal audits, collaborating with both internal and external auditors. This role involves validating IT General Controls (ITGC), driving process improvements, and participating in large-scale project testing to identify risks and gaps related to SOX controls. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to lead process change management while maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support IT SOX controls and internal audits in collaboration with internal and external auditors.
  • Validate that ITGC have been completed timely and accurately.
  • Drive process improvements related to SOX controls.
  • Participate in large-scale project testing for risks and gaps.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with Internal Audit and Control Owners.
  • Track and organize SOX audits prior to Internal Audit and External Audit.
  • Conduct risk assessments and test large-scale projects impacting SOX compliance.
  • Lead special projects as requested and identify simplified processes for improvement.
  • Design and integrate new processes, providing training and assistance as needed.
  • Ensure processes meet changing PCAOB and business unit conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Accounting, or related business discipline.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in IT SOX Audits, Internal Audit, risk consulting, or external audit.
  • Strong knowledge of IT SOX process controls, methodology, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to review processes/data from various systems.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • Ability to lead through process change management with strong process design and documentation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce results and solve complex problems under tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • CIA, CISA, and/or CPA certification is a plus.
