About the position

The IT Specialist (DATAMGT) position at the NAVSUP Business Systems Center involves serving as a senior database and technical specialist, focusing on Database Management Systems (DBMS). The role includes designing data models, integrations, and security models for Microsoft Power Platform, supporting solutions, and leading various projects and initiatives. The specialist will ensure adherence to information security policies while planning, developing, and implementing systems for data acquisition, storage, and retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior database and technical specialist on one or more Database Management Systems (DBMS).
• Design data models, integrations, and security models for Microsoft Power Platform.
• Support Microsoft Power Platform solutions, identifying and resolving performance issues.
• Lead projects and initiatives by defining data requirements and providing technical advice to team members.
• Plan, develop, and implement systems for data acquisition, storage, and retrieval while adhering to information security policies.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and other Database Management Systems (DBMS).
• Experience in designing data models for Power Platform solutions, including relationship behaviors.
• Experience in designing integrations and security models for Power Platform solutions.
