IT Specialist (DATAMGT)

About the position

The IT Specialist (DATAMGT) position at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) involves designing, developing, and maintaining data management systems and databases. This role requires leading multifunctional development projects, serving as a Contracting Officer Representative, and effectively communicating technical information to diverse audiences. The position is office-centered, requiring regular physical attendance at the duty station in San Francisco, CA, while also offering some work-from-home flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data management systems and/or databases.
• Lead multifunctional development projects in database analysis, design, development, and implementation.
• Serve as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) or Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR).
• Communicate highly technical information to a technical or non-technical audience.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, engineering, information science, or related fields, or equivalent IT-related experience.
• At least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-11 level for GS-12 applicants, or GS-12 level for GS-13 applicants.

Nice-to-haves
