About the position

The IT Specialist (ENTARCH/DATAMGT) at NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER will serve as a subject matter expert in facilitating engineering, research, and development for various IT activities, initiatives, and projects. The role involves establishing an enterprise data model, managing data aggregation, cleansing, transformation, and validation, as well as conducting research on networking products and participating in project teams to ensure adherence to information architecture principles.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engineering and research and development for various IT activities, initiatives, and projects.
• Establish an enterprise data model and create common views for enterprise data.
• Provide mechanisms for data aggregation, cleansing, transformation, validation, and syndication.
• Gather and analyze business requirements, goals/objectives, and business process architecture.
• Conduct research on network products, equipment, services, protocols, and standards.
• Participate on project teams to promote and leverage information architecture principles and standards.
• Perform project management activities, staff and resource management, program analysis, and development.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have at least one year of information technology-related experience in the federal service or private/public sector.
• Demonstrated competencies in attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving.
• Specialized experience equivalent to GS-13 level with knowledge of data modeling concepts, ETL processes, SQL databases, and experience leveraging data warehouses.
