About the position

The IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) position at Naval Sea Systems Command involves providing system administration, information assurance, and cybersecurity compliance for Corporate Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) architectures. The role includes implementing Enterprise Architecture, advising on cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and managing system resources while ensuring effective communication and documentation of technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide system administration and information assurance for RDTE architectures.
• Implement Enterprise Architecture in support of Command-wide IT and Cybersecurity tools.
• Advise on addressing Cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the technical community.
• Assess and advise the Command Information System Security Manager on risks and remediation priorities.
• Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Enforce local network usage policies and procedures.
• Manage system/server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
• Apply project leadership skills to manage projects and group tasking effectively.
• Communicate and document concepts through various technical documentation formats.
• Develop and brief technical solutions for technical architecture designs.

Requirements

• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency).
• Experience in system administration and ensuring cybersecurity compliance.
• Skills in attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

Benefits
