About the position

The IT Specialist in the INFOSEC Department of the Army serves as a subject matter expert in planning and coordinating Defensive Cyberspace Operations - Internal Defense Measures (DCO-IDM) to protect the Department of Defense Information Network - Army (DODIN-A) and other critical cyber terrains. This role involves utilizing advanced cybersecurity technologies to recommend and implement strategies for countering complex cyber threats, ensuring the security and resilience of military operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the planning, coordination, and execution of Defensive Cyberspace Operations - Internal Defense Measures (DCO-IDM).
  • Lead the integration of cyberspace defense mechanisms into the Army Materiel Command's Mission Command framework.
  • Establish and maintain cyber resiliency, redundancy, and survivability in coordination with logistics and sustainment operations.
  • Provide actionable cyber situational awareness to senior commanders and stakeholders.
  • Advise system managers and senior leaders on trade-offs to ensure IT and OT systems are adequately protected.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience in network/computer security operations and risk management planning.
  • Experience in strategic planning and management of cybersecurity for networks, systems, applications, and associated hardware/software resources.
  • Experience planning and protecting Cyberspace operations such as the DODIN-A.
  • Demonstrated competencies in attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving.

Nice-to-haves

  • Management Level III Certification under DoD Directive 8140.01.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure and operations.
