About the position
The IT Specialist (InfoSec) will serve as the Cybersecurity Assurance Lead within the C5ISR Division at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division. This role involves managing the Cybersecurity Assurance team, ensuring compliance with DOD and Navy cybersecurity policies, and providing technical direction and guidance for various cybersecurity functions. The position requires expert knowledge in risk management frameworks and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Cybersecurity Assurance Task Lead and RMF technical expert for the JEXC2 Family of Systems.
- Manage the Cybersecurity Assurance team through complex processes and workflows.
- Maintain expert level knowledge of DOD and Navy cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Implement policies and guidance for Information System Security Officers and Engineers.
- Monitor processes to ensure effectiveness and adapt to new requirements.
- Communicate authoritatively in both oral and written forms across all organizational levels.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalent).
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience leading a team of administrators, analysts, or Information System Security Officers.
- Knowledge of emerging vulnerabilities for Expeditionary, Command and Control, Weapons or similar Information Systems.
