The IT Specialist (InfoSec) position at the US Commander, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWARSYSCOM) involves providing cybersecurity guidance and support to Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) staff. The role includes developing training materials, enforcing security policies, managing media accountability, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The specialist will also liaise with various officials to facilitate effective communication and contribute to oversight activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present training materials for SCI personnel.
• Provide cybersecurity guidance and support to SCIF staff for systems, networks, and media management.
• Document, track, and enforce SOPs for media, ISs, and networks in SCIFs.
• Manage functional mailboxes and process SCI account requests.
• Implement security policies for systems and media management.
• Assist with physical inventory validation and handling classified media.
• Operate equipment for media destruction.
• Liaise with SCI and non-SCI officials to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Contribute to the Intelligence Oversight Manager team, supporting ongoing oversight and compliance activities.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• Must have a valid United States driver's license.
• Must complete training and maintain government credit card for travel-related purchases.
• Experience in information security and analysis skills.
