About the position

The IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) position at the US Commander, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWARSYSCOM) involves reviewing, writing, and coordinating program and acquisition documentation to support various cloud policies and strategies within the Department of the Navy. The role requires collaboration with team leaders and program managers to identify mission requirements and capability gaps, develop contractual documents, and support agile delivery of cloud capabilities. Additionally, the specialist will play a key role in budget planning and execution tracking for the DON Cloud Landscape.

Responsibilities

• Review, write, and coordinate program and acquisition documentation for DON Cloud policy and DOD Cloud Acquisition policy.
• Provide insights to leadership regarding mission owner needs and objectives.
• Develop contractual documents and guide cloud procurement strategy.
• Report on mission owner support related to World-Class Alignment Metrics (WAMs).
• Support agile delivery of cloud capabilities for mission owners across the Department of the Navy.
• Contribute to budget request planning, obligation tracking, and spend plan development for the DON Cloud Landscape.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
• Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area is required within established timeframes.
• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
