About the position

The IT Specialist (SysAdmin/InfoSec) position is responsible for implementing new products, systems modifications, and security enhancements related to networks, hardware, and software. The role involves serving as a technical advisor and subject matter expert within the Enterprise Support Center, ensuring compliance with security standards, and developing activities to protect and restore IT systems. The specialist will also design, maintain, and manage various computer systems and networks to enhance system availability and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Implement new products, systems modifications, and security enhancements related to networks, hardware, and software.
• Serve as a technical advisor and subject matter expert within the Enterprise Support Center.
• Work with internal and external customers and IT system administrators to resolve technical problems.
• Ensure software and hardware compliance with approved security baseline configurations.
• Develop and coordinate activities to protect and restore IT systems, services, and capabilities.
• Design, maintain, install, support, and manage various computer systems, networks, servers, and storage systems.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
• Must obtain and maintain interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience implementing cloud-based solutions.
• Experience with security enhancements and capability solutions relating to networks, hardware, and software.
