About the position

This position involves providing training and coaching for individuals and teams transitioning to Agile Software Development Methodology within the Info & Tech Directorate. The role is accountable for mentoring project teams to implement agile practices and improve their adoption of agile principles. Additionally, the position requires monitoring and evaluating software development processes, assessing their effectiveness, and negotiating with management to implement recommendations. The candidate will also develop project plans and provide updates to management on project statuses.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and coaching for Agile Software Development Methodology.
• Mentor project teams in implementing agile practices.
• Monitor and evaluate software development policies and procedures.
• Assess the effectiveness of existing software development processes.
• Negotiate with management to implement recommendations.
• Develop project plans and provide updates to management.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship or National
• Suitable for Federal Employment
• Registered for Selective Service (if applicable)
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level in federal service.
• Experience in all stages of systems lifecycle of an information system.
• Demonstrated experience applying Agile principles in software development or project management.
• Experience ensuring compliance with internal controls.

• Experience in customer service and maintaining relationships with clients.
• Strong oral communication skills, especially in briefing management.
• Problem-solving skills in addressing complex IT-related issues.
