About the position

The IT Specialist at Three Bears Alaska is responsible for providing help desk support services to both retail and corporate staff personnel. This role involves addressing support requests, installing hardware and software, and ensuring compliance with IT security policies. The IT Specialist will also maintain IT supplies and travel to various retail locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answering help desk support requests via email, chat, telephone, and in-person visits.
• Travel (local and overnight/remote) to retail locations to perform duties.
• Installing computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Complying with IT security policies while performing duties.
• Maintaining adequate supplies of IT materials at all times; toners, cables, spare keyboards, monitors, etc.
• Testing and handling RMAs for hardware that is qualified for repair.

Requirements

• Basic aptitude for technology in computer hardware and software systems and programs.
• Knowledge of network concepts (cabling, Wi-Fi, IP addressing, etc.).
• Minimum 1 year work history with work reference.
• Effective verbal, presentation, and listening communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Stress management skills.
• Effective written communication skills.
• Time management skills.
