About the position

The IT Specialist at The Nash Casino is responsible for providing advanced technical support for various computer-based systems, network infrastructures, and telecommunications. This role involves deploying new hardware, maintaining desktop applications, and ensuring efficient operation of IT systems while delivering excellent service to guests.

Responsibilities

• Deploy new PC hardware, printers, and desktop application software.
• Install and support productivity tools including Microsoft Office and Sage MAS90.
• Maintain the ticketing system for IT support requests.
• Support phone systems and cell phones.
• Develop and implement solutions for efficient and cost-effective systems and procedures.
• Maintain a spare parts inventory for timely repairs.
• Consult with users on appropriate PC and printer hardware for their needs.
• Comply with all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Report daily to Level 2 support for assignments.
• Provide excellent service to guests, ensuring their satisfaction.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Information Technology, MIS, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of computer science methods and techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems (2008, 2012, 2016).
• Proficiency in Office 365 Administration and Microsoft desktop operating systems (XP, Windows 7, Windows 10).
• Basic knowledge of VOIP phone systems and Point of Sale systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred but not required).
• Industry certifications (preferred but not required).
