About the position

We are seeking an entry-level IT Splunk Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Splunk, including proficiency in SPL, custom dashboard creation, and data source integration. This role is crucial for supporting our cybersecurity initiatives through effective data analysis and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) to analyze and interpret data.
• Build custom dashboards and visualizations to support cybersecurity efforts.
• Integrate various data sources into Splunk for comprehensive analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance incident response capabilities.
• Design, develop, and implement automated workflows and playbooks using SOAR platforms.

Requirements

• 1 - 4 years of experience with Splunk and cybersecurity.
• Proficiency in Splunk SPL and custom dashboard creation.
• Strong understanding of data source integration into Splunk.
• Experience with Python and/or PowerShell for automation tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant certifications in Splunk and cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms, particularly Cortex XSOAR.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration in a team environment.
