About the position

The IT SQL/Snowflake - Tableau Developer position is a critical role within the Data Processing and Integration (DPI) team at Resource Management Associates, LLC, based in Raleigh, NC. This is an onsite position that requires expertise in managing and analyzing complex data environments, particularly those involving Amazon AWS, Snowflake, and Microsoft Azure. The enterprise currently operates a multi-platform data environment that includes legacy systems, and the successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing an enterprise data model aimed at standardizing shared data entities and attributes across the organization. The primary focus of this role is to support the development and implementation of data reporting models that meet the specific needs of school business and technical requirements. The Expert Snowflake Tableau Developer will lead data analysis projects, providing insights and guidance to other data analysts, data architects, and application developers. This position also involves providing subject matter expertise and training to fellow SQL/Snowflake and Tableau developers and analysts, ensuring that best practices are followed in data management and visualization. Candidates should possess a strong background in SQL databases, ETL processes, and advanced data validation techniques, particularly within Snowflake and Azure environments. Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI is also essential. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that the data reporting models align with the strategic goals of the DPI enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and leadership on data analysis projects across the DPI enterprise focusing on School Business Data.
  • Create and implement an enterprise data reporting model that meets DPI's school business and technical requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and training to other SQL/Snowflake and Tableau developers and analysts.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data architects, and application developers to standardize shared data entities and attributes.
  • Conduct advanced data validations in Snowflake and Azure environments.
  • Utilize SQL databases and ETL processes to manage and analyze data effectively.
  • Develop data visualizations using Tableau and Power BI.

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience with SQL databases.
  • 7 years of experience with Snowflake.
  • 1 year of experience with Tableau or Power BI (preferred).
  • 7 years of experience with database platforms (preferred).
  • 7 years of experience in Data Warehousing (preferred).
  • 7 years of experience with ERD/Data Modelling tools (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of data analysis and reporting requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
  • Familiarity with Oracle and DB2 databases.
  • Knowledge of hybrid remote work environments.
