About the position

The Senior Product Manager at CommonSpirit Health plays a crucial role in providing application technology expertise and direction for complex, enterprise-wide projects. This position involves leading cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve intricate hardware, software, and system issues while ensuring the delivery of functional applications and support processes. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for interacting with stakeholders to gather business requirements, developing test plans, and leading problem management activities, all aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver or lead the design, development, support, maintenance, and deployment of functional applications and information support processes.
  • Interact with the customer user community to secure business requirements and perform technical requirements translation.
  • Assist business and IT leadership with strategic planning and initiatives.
  • Develop or lead test plan development for new application functionality.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and provide guidance on function testing.
  • Lead resolution of high complexity issues or requests requiring technical expertise.
  • Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, and critical thinking to solve complex problems.
  • Complete tasks and documentation within committed timeframes and communicate effectively across teams.
  • Lead technical analysis discussions and assist with conducting review sessions for approvals.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge management artifacts and lead transition to operations functions after implementation delivery.
  • Lead Product Release management functions, including developing and performing test plans and facilitating end-user acceptance testing.
  • Develop overall project task lists, estimates, and resource plans for complex solutions.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members and operational support teams.
  • Lead continuous process improvement activities to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor deviations from service level agreements (SLAs) and escalate issues to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Medical, Business discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience required; 10+ years in IT as an Application Systems Analyst or Technical Analyst role.
  • Excellent writing/documentation and communication skills.
  • Fast learner, quality-conscious, and committed to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Experience working with project life cycle or project management methodologies.
  • 6+ years of application support, implementation, or development experience in a hospital or medical-related industry.
  • Expert level understanding of leading business and technology partners through deployment and implementation life cycles.
  • Advanced understanding of technology projects and concepts as they relate to high-level business objectives.
