About the position

The IT Sr Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting IT Project and Program Managers within the Talent Development Office in Business and Technology Services. This position focuses on enhancing the project management capabilities of the IT community by providing training, coaching, and facilitating discussions on best practices. The individual will work closely with the IT Project Management Office to drive continuous improvement and foster personal development among project managers.

Responsibilities

  • Train Client IT Project and Program Managers on the use of standard tools and processes in support of managing IT projects.
  • Partner with the IT Project Management Office and Talent Development Office on process and skill-building initiatives for IT Project and Program Managers.
  • Support the IT PM community, driving continuous improvement with experienced Project and Program Managers, fostering interest in PM acumen and personal development across the IT organization.
  • Advise, coach, and facilitate discussions with IT project leads and leaders on Project Management best practices, approaches, and resources.
  • Provide regular updates to management on Project Management capabilities, tracking project management delivery against objectives.

Requirements

  • Ability to apply a structured project management approach and methodology
  • Experience with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Highly developed communication skills with expertise in producing organization-wide communications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and to work as part of a geographically diverse team
