About the position

The IT Support Analyst position at D&H Distributing is a full-time role based in Fresno, CA, primarily focused on providing technical support and assistance to end-users. The Technology Service Center (TSC) is responsible for managing day-to-day ticketing and service requests, ensuring that end-user issues are addressed promptly and effectively. The role requires a commitment to first call resolution (FCR) and involves incident assignment and tracking to ensure that all issues are resolved in a timely manner. As an IT Support Analyst, you will provide both phone and onsite support for Windows systems, assisting users with various technical issues. This includes troubleshooting applications, operating systems, and peripherals, as well as providing equipment and cabling support at the Distribution Centers. You will be responsible for installing and tearing down IT equipment as needed, utilizing the ServiceNow ticketing system to manage and escalate incidents appropriately. In addition to technical support, the role involves deploying and maintaining computer systems, IP phones, scanners, and other peripherals. You will also be tasked with building, maintaining, and imaging desktop hardware, as well as testing new applications and operating systems for compatibility. Ensuring the accuracy of the asset management library and assisting with the boxing and shipping of equipment are also part of your responsibilities. The position may require travel to Distribution Centers as needed, and you will be expected to work a schedule that includes Sunday evenings and weekday evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide phone support, onsite, and remote end-user client support (Windows).
  • Provide equipment and cabling support, onsite and at Distribution Centers.
  • Install and teardown IT equipment as needed onsite and at Distribution Centers.
  • Utilize ServiceNow ticketing system to create, assign, triage and determine escalation path.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot applications, operating systems and peripherals.
  • Deploy and maintain computer, IP phone, scanner, and other peripherals.
  • Basic network printing support.
  • Build, maintain, and image desktop hardware and replace or upgrade legacy hardware.
  • Test new applications and operating systems for compatibility.
  • Ensure the asset management library is accurate.
  • Assist with boxing and shipping of equipment.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • One year Certificate from College or Technical School; or six to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of impeccable customer service experience.
  • 1-2 years of help desk or technical support experience.
  • Experience with software troubleshooting and technical support for Windows systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners and their support.
