About the position

The IT Support Analyst position at AG Risk Management is a critical role designed to enhance the IT support infrastructure within the Quincy, MA office. This position is part of a multi-faceted claims consulting firm that provides comprehensive Third-Party Claims Adjusting services to external insurance clients. The IT Department is expanding its support capabilities across various locations, and this role will be instrumental in establishing a robust IT support presence in Quincy. The successful candidate will work closely with an IT team distributed across multiple locations in the United States, ensuring seamless technical support and operational efficiency. In this role, the IT Support Analyst will oversee server room operations and provide user support for everyday technical issues. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT infrastructure, demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate with end users to assist them with system-related challenges. Key objectives include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining IT support equipment, which encompasses desktop, laptop, and networking components. The candidate should be a dynamic self-starter, capable of collaborating with team members to solve problems and document solutions clearly and concisely. The position requires a proactive approach to supporting the infrastructure of AG Risk Management, including troubleshooting system issues and enhancing user understanding. The IT Support Analyst will work alongside IT teams and business partners on various projects, ensuring effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve issues that may impact system availability. Regular reporting and management information will be a part of the responsibilities, ensuring that all technical support activities are documented and communicated effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support the infrastructure of AG Risk Management.
  • Support the Helpdesk and end users to troubleshoot system issues and user understanding.
  • Work with IT team and Business partners on projects.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to identify issues and resolutions that may affect connections and system availability.
  • Provide clear, concise, and accurate management information on a regular and ad hoc basis as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of IT Infrastructure experience.
  • College degree or Technical IT certification.
  • Certification in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows.
  • Experience in setting up network cabling and patch panels.
  • Experience with Networking Concepts (Subnets, VLANs, Layer 2 and Layer 3).
  • Understanding of PowerShell Scripting, Batch scripting, and administration automation tools.
  • Experience in setting up Firewalls (FortiGate preferred).
  • Experience in setting up Network equipment - UPS, switches, and routers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Linux Experience would be a plus.
  • Apple Mac experience would be a plus.
  • Certification in VMware, Nutanix AVH, Networking, and Security would be a plus.
