About the position

PioneerRx Pharmacy Software is seeking an IT Support - Hardware Specialist to join our team in Shreveport, LA. This position is strictly on-site and involves providing comprehensive hardware support and troubleshooting for our customers after they have installed our software. As a Hardware Support representative, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients have a seamless experience with our products by addressing any hardware-related issues they may encounter. You will need to be adaptable and willing to learn new concepts as you provide exceptional customer service across a variety of applications and hardware setups. In this role, you will engage directly with customers, helping them resolve technical issues and ensuring their hardware is functioning optimally. Your expertise in IT systems, particularly with Windows operating systems, will be crucial as you assist clients with installations, configurations, and troubleshooting. You will also be expected to manage multiple tasks efficiently, demonstrating excellent time management skills while maintaining a professional demeanor during phone communications. This position is vital to our mission of supporting independent pharmacies and enhancing their operational efficiency through our software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth troubleshooting and hardware support to PioneerRx customers post-software installation.
  • Assist customers with issues related to Windows operating systems, including Windows Server 2012-2016.
  • Conduct remote support for clients, addressing networking issues, routers, and hardware problems.
  • Utilize strong LAN/WAN/Print Server troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues.
  • Install operating systems, drivers, and applications as needed for customer support.
  • Communicate effectively with customers over the phone, maintaining a professional and confident tone.
  • Manage time efficiently and multitask to handle various customer inquiries and support requests.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT systems and installation/application support.
  • Experience with Windows operating system support, specifically Windows Server 2012-2016.
  • Proficiency in remote support, routers, networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong LAN/WAN/Print Server troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to install operating systems, drivers, and applications.
  • Excellent phone communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multitask.
