About the position

The IT Support/Helpdesk Specialist role at VALiNTRY involves managing and maintaining IT systems at the downtown Wheaton, IL office. This on-site position requires providing technical support for both PC and Mac systems, ensuring seamless integration of hardware, and maintaining accurate inventory. The specialist will also handle user requests, onboarding processes, and data backup procedures, while providing end-user training and support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all IT systems at Downtown offices, including PCs, Macs, servers, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Install and test hardware, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of systems and parts.
  • Monitor and resolve user requests, updating ticket statuses through a helpdesk system.
  • Process new hire onboarding and terminations in line with IT and HR protocols.
  • Regularly review and test data backup procedures to safeguard the integrity of historical data.
  • Provide end-user training and support on the use of computer and communication equipment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director of IT Infrastructure & Security.

Requirements

  • Experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
  • Proficiency in managing both PC and Mac systems.
  • Knowledge of local area networks and telecommunications equipment.
  • Ability to install and test hardware and software.
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in IT support or related fields.
