IT Support - Project Description: Looking to bring on a Support Technician to work with their team in Livonia, Michigan as they undergo a 3 year tool supply management vending machine software and network upgrade. This person will be providing support to their field service team as they go upgrade the 11,000 vending machines they support across the automotive racing & manufacturing space. The first phase will be upgrading the user interface on each machine and they will be updating to a proprietary system. During this phase the technician will be dedicated to being the escalation support line to this service via their traditional helpdesk. There is not only a software component to this troubleshooting, but further in phase 2 & 3 it could expand to helping ensure the machines are on the proper network as well. They are looking for folks that know their way around basic troubleshooting of hardware, networking concepts, and experience with software being upgraded that sits on a PC running Windows OS. With the proprietary nature of much of this software there is a lot of time and resources that will go in to learning and getting trained up on the proprietary aspect as well as deep knowledge bases and documentation from the software creator too.
