About the position

The IT Support Specialist I position at Killington and Pico Resort involves providing comprehensive technical support for various technology systems across the resort. This role requires a hands-on approach to installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems such as video surveillance, RFID, POS, and more, while also ensuring superior service to guests and staff. The position is unique as it involves outdoor work in varying conditions, emphasizing the need for adaptability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze the technical needs and resources of the resort.
  • Provide recommendations for hardware and software solutions.
  • Support and install POS systems and peripherals.
  • Provide technical support for RFID infrastructure, including gate configuration.
  • Support all speakers, amplifiers, and music streaming devices throughout the resort.
  • Configure and support desktops and laptops across the resort.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IP cameras and digital signage boards.
  • Maintain documentation of systems and processes.
  • Respond to Helpdesk tickets and technology support requests.
  • Document, track, and monitor tickets for timely resolution.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for off-hour support needs.
  • Confer with supervisors and other personnel to improve efficiency and resolve problems.
  • Provide superior service to customers and guests.
  • Follow hospitality guidelines while interacting with guests.
  • Train and collaborate with other IT team members.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Valid driver's license and transportation for intra-resort travel.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and quick learning ability.
  • Solid knowledge of PC/Laptop/Tablet hardware and peripherals.
  • Experience with Windows OS.
  • Basic networking knowledge.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
