About the position

The IT Support Specialist at ISC's HireIT Services team is responsible for delivering exceptional IT service support to over 1000 clients within a matrix environment. This role involves daily interaction with clients of varying technical expertise, providing top-tier technical support and consulting, particularly to executive-level customers. The specialist will also serve as a liaison among various departments and contribute to IT projects, ensuring alignment with clients' business goals while maintaining documentation and staying updated on supported technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide top-tier IT support and consulting to clients with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Form trusting professional relationships with clientele, especially executive-level customers.
  • Serve as a liaison between the department, clients, and other campus computing support groups.
  • Contribute to IT projects and coordinate resources to support clients' diverse business goals.
  • Generate documentation to support changes, teach new concepts, and document policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on cutting-edge technologies and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Participate in and lead campus-wide project teams, task forces, and user group meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and experience providing technical support for contemporary client operating systems (Macintosh and Windows) and productivity applications.
  • Experience configuring, deploying, and supporting client systems in a highly managed environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a client-centric, technically-focused environment and adapt to changing work experiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present technical materials clearly.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and eagerness for learning and collaboration, with a strong customer service track record.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials.

Nice-to-haves

  • Skills and experience in database development, web development, multimedia, audio-visual, or information security.
