About the position

The IT Support Specialist at SewerQuest will provide essential technical assistance and support to employees, ensuring the smooth operation of the company's technology infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting various technical issues, maintaining network security, and providing training on software and hardware usage.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Resolve technical problems via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Monitor and maintain network security, performance, and connectivity.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Perform regular updates, backups, and patches.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Manage and respond to IT support tickets.
  • Document and track technical issues.
  • Provide training on software and hardware usage.
  • Create technical documentation and guides.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 2+ years of IT support experience.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certification.
  • Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with IT service management software (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
