About the position

MSTS is seeking an IT Support Specialist I to join the Service Desk team, responsible for providing end-user desktop and service desk support. This role involves the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware and software, ensuring effective support for the organization's IT needs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for end-user desktop and service desk support.
• Install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment hardware and peripherals, including printers, scanners, and multifunction devices.
• Provide support for software applications, including commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and in-house applications.
• Specialty support for Active Directory (AD), AD Group Policy Objects, Windows 7/10, Mac Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced setup of Microsoft Outlook.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Associates degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
• Computer skills with Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, and software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.
• Experience installing hardware and software for personal computing needs.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a professional manner.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
