The IT Support Specialist interacts with network operations, security, and technical support experts to maintain and monitor infrastructure services, utilizing sophisticated tools and techniques to identify and present proactive solutions that enhance productivity. This role requires a commitment to providing 24-hour support, including overtime and on-call responsibilities, to ensure safe and reliable operations. The major responsibilities of the IT Support Specialist include supporting users on all aspects of user-reported problems, managing issues through established tracking processes, delivering first-tier help desk support, and maintaining computer networks and related computing environments. The specialist will also monitor, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues, maintain cybersecurity protocols, and consult with subject matter experts and vendors to resolve complex issues. Additionally, the role involves creating technical documentation for troubleshooting and training purposes, ensuring compliance with established processes and policies, and maintaining a central data repository of all software licenses and hardware assets. This position requires a deep understanding of company products, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience in computer and system hardware deployment.
