About the position

The IT Support Specialist II position at the Nevada National Security Site involves providing Tier 2 technical support for various hardware, software, and network issues. The role requires investigating elevated issues, supporting MacOS, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective problem resolution and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for hardware, software, or network installation, including installing and upgrading hardware and software.
• Disassemble equipment for relocation.
• Serve as a single point of contact for clients to report equipment and software malfunctions.
• Perform client call backs and conduct customer satisfaction surveys.
• Analyze and resolve problems related to IT support.
• Assist users in running management applications and systems.
• Monitor the operation of computer hardware or software.
• Develop or modify processes and procedures to solve complex operating system problems.
• Diagnose printer-related issues.
• Perform computer imaging, with a preference for SCCM experience.
• Assist Tier I personnel in solving technical problems and investigate elevated issues.
• Provide specialty support for Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Windows 10, Mac Operating Systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Communicate with vendors regarding technical issues and solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Experience in providing Tier 2 IT support.
• Proficiency in MacOS and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Outlook setup.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and vendor communication.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SCCM for computer imaging.
• Familiarity with customer satisfaction survey processes.
