About the position

Peraton is seeking an Entry Level Customer Technical Specialist/IT Support Specialist to provide support for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at various airports across the United States. This position is based in Jacksonville, FL, and offers a competitive salary of up to $44,880 per year along with full benefits. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience ranging from 1 to 4 years depending on educational background. Candidates with an associate degree are expected to have at least 2 years of experience, while those with a bachelor's degree should have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. The role requires extensive experience in desk-side IT support, with a strong emphasis on professional communication skills, particularly when interacting with senior executive government staff. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory, and candidates must be able to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance. The position is full-time, with an 8-hour day shift schedule, and requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates should be self-motivated and proactive, capable of identifying opportunities and developing new ideas to enhance service delivery. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as A+, Network+, Cisco, Microsoft, and ITIL4, as well as experience in running or managing projects. Knowledge of installing Cisco switches and managing complex fiber backbone interconnectivity is also beneficial. Familiarity with connecting, patching, and repairing Cat6 and fiber infrastructure is a plus. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience or 2 years with an associate degree or 1 year with a bachelor's degree.

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
